As we enter the 2022-2023 school year, we are excited to see students enrolling in Caswell County Schools each day!  Please know that we are monitoring our class size numbers as they fluctuate greatly from day to day.  Teachers are funded from state and federal funds and based upon enrollment numbers for the district.  The district hopes to keep class sizes as low as possible in all grade levels, based upon NC General Statute 115c-301, which aligns enrollment numbers with teacher allotments in the district.  Each day and throughout the upcoming weeks, we are monitoring our class sizes and district enrollment numbers to align with our state and federal allotment of teachers and will make the best decisions possible for our students.

    Thank you,
    Dr. Sandra Carter
    Superintendent

  • DCRI

    Digital Children's Reading Initiative

In order to provide continuing support for North Carolina’s youngest readers, The North Carolina Department of Public Instruction Office of Early Learning has developed and released “Literacy at Home.” This digital resource provides literacy activities at each grade level, pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. Families and communities may access this resource for activities that specifically target the literacy skills of phonemic awareness, phonics, fluency, vocabulary, reading comprehension, and oral language. When children grow in each of these foundational areas they are well on their way to becoming proficient readers.
