  • K Kick-off

On Tuesday, May 3, from 5:30-6:45 pm we hosted our Kindergarten Kick-off at South Elementary.

Families with Kindergarten aged children met our Kindergarten Teachers, toured our school and participate in activities to familiarize them with our school and our Kindergarten classes.  We had activities for parents and children, and they were able to get valuable information from our Teachers, School Counselor and Nurse.  We are grateful for the outstanding attendance.

You may still register your child for Kindergarten, please call the main office for more information.

  • STAFF APPRECIATION WEEK - MAY 2-6, 2022

    Staff Appreciation Week

    Dear Parents:

During the week of May 2-6, we will celebrate our Staff Appreciation Week at South. We are excited to celebrate all the great things our teachers, teacher assistants, school counselor, and all the staff members have done for our students this year.

I am asking for your help as we celebrate our AMAZING STAFF. We would like to celebrate our teachers during the week. On Tuesday, April 26, we sent home a letter outlining ways you can show appreciation to our wonderful staff. This information was also sent in Class DoJo on Wednesday morning
    .
Feel free to shower your child’s teacher with gifts throughout the week if you would like. Whatever you feel comfortable and appropriate for your child to give a staff member will be greatly appreciated and encouraging to the staff member.

Thank you for all you do to support South Elementary School. As always, if you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me at (336) 694-1212 or via email at steve.evans@caswell.k12.nc.us

    Sincerely,

    Stephen P. Evans, MSA, NBCT
    Principal

  • LOOKING FOR AN OPPORTUNITY TO VOLUNTEER?

    Volunteers Needed

As the year continues to progress, we are planning to have more opportunities for parents to be involved at South Elementary.  Events such as End of the Year Celebrations and Recognitions and Field Day are being planned.  We encourage you to participate as you are able.  If you are interested in volunteering at South, you must complete a volunteer packet.  You may download and print off the forms from the school website, or you may stop by the office and pick up a copy.  During COVID, all volunteer forms expired, so anybody who wishes to volunteer must complete a new form.  The approval is good for 3 years.  If you plan to volunteer this year, we need you to complete this process as soon as possible because part of being a Level 2 volunteer requires a background check.

Click here to open and download a volunteer packet.

We look forward to seeing you at South!
