• What a GREAT first week!!!

    I wanted to give a HUGE shout out to all my 6th graders for a great first week of class.

    We did lots of cool activities!  We participated in our B.U.L.L.S Bootcamp (we learned school expectations, did skits, and worked in groups to discuss appropriate behaviors).  We created graphs of ME by using graphing skills, and we put together our interactive notebook.

    On Friday we started reviewing area, and on Tuesday we will be diving right into calculating the area of parallelograms.  

    Please don't forget to sign page 90 in the Student Code of conduct.  If this is not turned in on Tuesday, your student will NOT be able to get their Chromebook.  PLEASE make sure to remind your student to plug in their Chromebook every night for charging.  We want them to be prepared and ready to learn daily!!

My name is Leslie Crowe, and I am teaching 6th grade math this year at NL Dillard Middle School!!!  I am SUPER excited about this opportunity!

I just got married August 11, 2022, so you may see Leslie Gehris on your schedule.  Don’t worry, we are the same person.  LOL!  I grew up in Person County, graduated from UNC-Asheville (in the mountains), and now live in a beautiful home here in Blanch!  I have a wonderful husband (Kevin), a ten-year-old daughter (Madison), 3 dogs (LZ - Little Zeus, BG - Big Zeus, and Matilda), two cats (Kalie & Simon), two guinea pigs (daffodil and cinnamon - both males), 6 fish, 26 chickens, and two ducks (we don’t name our farm animals).  Yes, it is a zoo at our happy home!!
