My name is Erik Phelps and I am currently a physical education teacher at Bartlett Yancey High School in the Caswell County School District.  
I graduated from Averett College, in the fall of 1999, with a BS in physical education.  I completed my masters degree in teaching, from Averett University, in the spring of 2002, with certifications in Health and Physical Education and  I have been teaching here, at Bartlett Yancey High School for 15 years.  For the past 15 years I have been teaching Physical Education I (ninth grade requirement), Physical Fitness (weight lifting), and Physical Educaiton II (advanced PE) as well as Head Varsity Baseball Coach for 11 of the 15 years .  Prior to teaching, I played baseball at Averett College (1994-1998) and served four years as the pitching coach (1998-2001) at Averett University in Danville, Va.
