Ms. Trice

Hello parents!

I'm India Trice, the Exceptional Children's General Education Teacher at Bartlett Yancey Senior High School. I have been teaching for 3+ years at Bartlett Yancey, and I will be teaching various general education courses to our high schoolers with special needs! These courses may include, but are not limited to, the following: English 1, English 2, English 3, English 4, Civic Literacy, and many more! I look forward to our time together, and all of the great fun that we will have!

I have a master's degree in Special Education and I have received this degree from North Carolina A&T State University, located in Greensboro, North Carolina. Getting this degree has helped me to become a better teacher, and has also given me the tools and resources to help my students perform at their very best. In addition, I am also a member of Sigma Gamma Rho, which is a national collegiate sorority incorporated in 1922. I grew up in parts of Mebane, and Burlington, North Carolina. My teaching style is a hybrid form of teaching, where I am actively incorporating my student's preferences, diversity, backgrounds, disabilities, personalities, culture, and interests to address any topic of study. I have found that culturally responsive teaching works well with the population of students that I serve, and I look forward each year to meeting the needs of my learners!
