Accountability and Testing
The Testing and Accountability Department promotes the academic achievement of all students, while assisting stakeholders with understanding student academic performance and achievement levels. The staff engages site level administrators and teachers with analyzing data to inform instructional decisions aimed at individual school improvement efforts while focusing on improving teaching and student achievement. The staff supports schools and the administration with reporting of The North Carolina Testing and Accountability Programs as well as the Federal Annual Measurable Objectives. The Testing and Accountability staff also oversees the district’s training, the administration of state tests, as well as the compilation and analyses of test results. For additional information regarding the North Carolina Testing program and associated results, please visit the North Carolina Department of Public Instruction’s website at www.dpi.state.nc.us/accountability.
