It is indeed an honor and privilege to be named Principal of Bartlett Yancey Senior High It is
great to come “Home” and serve the community that formed my core values and taught me how
education, determination, and work ethic could provide me access to so many opportunities in life. I
believe that the entire community has a responsibility to ensure our students are successful and
graduate career, college, and life ready. As an educator, I have twenty years of experience. I began my career as an elementary teacher,
and I have sixteen years of experience as a school administrator serving as an assistant principal for six
years and a principal for ten years. I have served as a principal at the elementary, middle and high school
levels in Guilford County Schools. I’ve earned a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from North Carolina A&T State
University, a Master of School Administration, and an Educational Specialist degree in Educational
Leadership from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. My wife Fredricca and I have been married for twenty years, and we have two wonderful
teenaged children: Lauryn and Cameron. In my spare time, some of my hobbies include learning new
things, reading, traveling, and playing the piano. Together, we will continue the GREAT things happening
for our entire school community!
