I grew up in West Virginia loving the outdoors, small-town life, and dancing. My mom put me in dance at 3 years old and I haven't stopped since. Dancing allowed me to feel successful, express myself, and feel confident in who I was. Therefore, I knew that my dream job would involve sharing this same experience with others. As I entered High School I got my first taste of dancing in a public school and it was so rewarding to watch my classmates experience dance for the first time. This is when I knew my dream was to teach dance in a rural school bringing dance to all kinds of students. I attended Radford University where I studied Dance Education and gained experience in teaching, performing, and choreographing. I then found my way to North Carolina and Caswell County. I am now living my dream job teaching dance here at BYHS.
