My name is Mindy Mitchell.   I graduated from Averett College in 1995 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Elementary Education.  This is my 28th year teaching at Oakwood Elementary School.  I taught 22 years in 1st grade and this is my 6th year in 2nd grade.  I have been married for 25 years and have two children, Kayla who is 23 and Colin who is 19.
