2019-20 Senior Class Officers

Elections were held and 4 students were elected as officers for next year's senior class.

A message from the officers:

RAIN WATKINS-PRESIDENT

My name is Rain Watkins and I am currently a junior at Bartlett Yancey High School. I really do enjoy school and I think that is why I will be a great component in our Senior Class Office.  I'm so excited for my upcoming senior year, especially with my future position as Senior Class President! I plan to take this very seriously and make as many improvements as possible. I have many plans and can't wait to see what we all achieve, best of luck Class of 2020!

JOSHUA SMITH-VICE PRESIDENT

I am the newly elected Senior Class Vice President for 2020. I have really enjoyed my time here at Bartlett Yancey so far. Some things about myself include playing drums at church, I am on two travel club soccer teams, and I am also a soccer referee. I am really grateful that I was able to win Senior Class Vice President for 2020. It has always been a dream of mine to serve as a class representative for Bartlett Yancey High School. I hope I will be able to make a positive change on Bartlett Yancey. Some things I would like to see improve at Bartlett Yancey are updated and better textbooks for our core classes and also I would like to have fundraisers to support Bartlett Yancey in anyway that we can. I am really excited to see what the next set of Senior Class officers can accomplish next school year and I can't wait to get started!

KRISTIN TERRY-SECRETARY

My name is Kristin Terry aka your secretary! Here’s a few things about myself …  I’m super nice, I try my best to work hard and get everything that needs to be done. I do not tolerate drama or negative energy. I am filled with positive energy and that’s what I like around me. I’m super outgoing, I’m understanding and a great listener. If you need anything you can feel free to come to me. When I won secretary, I was a little shocked because I didn’t think I was going to win. I felt so proud of myself and happy. I am really excited for senior year and thinking about things I can help change to make our school year better. Since I won, I started thinking about making homecoming and prom more exciting. Also I’ve been thinking about more fun events we can add throughout the school year. I was thinking about starting fundraisers as soon as school starts. What I want to see this upcoming school year is better grades, positive energy, unity, and fun! I want our senior class officers to be able to trust and get close with one another! I also feel like it would be great if our senior class would be closer together/unified so we can get things done and be able to have the senior year that we all desire!
