Exciting things are happening in the school garden. The "Get Growing" Garden Team had a clean up session March 3rd. They did an amazing job getting the garden beds ready. March 25th they planted 2 kinds of kale, carrots, cilantro, dill and basil. The night of April 6th , deer visited the garden so 2 garden team members addressed the emergency. You can see the team has a nice crop of kale and carrots growing as well as garlic, which was planted in the fall. The garden team members taste tested to compare the dinosaur and the curly kale. Several students have taken bags of kale home. Check with these students for more information about what is happening in the garden. The team also planted little pots of herbs to give to staff members for Teacher's Appreciation Week.
