TITLE K-5 EC Self-Contained Teacher Assistant
  This is a Classified Position
GENERAL INFORMATION Under general supervision, the employee may perform a wide range of tasks in order to support the efforts of the teacher, meet the needs of all students, and ensure the provision of quality instruction for all students.  The employee may provide one-on-one assistance with academics and behavioral problems and may provide small group activities.  Employee assists the teacher with general housekeeping.  The usual and customary methods of performing the job’s functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling.  Participates in professional development opportunities. Must possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License with school bus certification and a DOT Physical.
