10-month position; effective August 2022. Under general supervision, the employee may perform a wide range of tasks in order to support the efforts of the teacher, meet the needs of all students, and ensure the provision of quality instruction for all students. Must be eligible to possess and maintain a valid North Carolina Class A or Class B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) with school bus certification and a DOT Physical. Performs other related work as required.
Based on federal law, candidates seeking teacher assistant positions in Title I schools must meet a minimum set of requirements in order to be employed. These requirements include but are not limited to:
1) an associate or bachelor's degree, or
2) a minimum of two years of college (48 semester hours), or
3) have completed the WorkKeys Skills Assessments and have earned 96 professional development hours.
